MK 4 Tench Float

  • The Drennan Mk4 Tench float rod is a stepped up rod produced from Super High Modulus Carbon with full SIC guides.
  • The original Drennan Tench float rod was designed in 1988 and evolved through Mk2 and Mk3 models taking advantage in improvements in carbon blank production.
  • The original designs were 12' long but the new Mk4 Tench rod has now been increased in length to 13' (3.96m).
  • The extra length has been combined with a slightly more flexible tip ror better line management and control.
  • Monofilament line can now be whipped under the surface between float and rod top burying the line below any wind or drift.
  • The Mk 4 Tench is lighter, faster and better balanced with the action coming through slightly further.
  • This makes it a much better rod for playing really large, powerful fish.
  • Ideal reel lines are from 2.5lb up to 8lb high tec monos and braids.
