Imitation Bread

!
Our imitation bread is extremely buoyant and soft, yet is tough enough to stay firmly on a hook or hair rig during casting, and also resists the unwanted attention of nuisance species.

Can be cut or torn into chunks to expose the fluffy, sponge like interior, that will readily absorb a liquid flavour.

  • Size: 40mm x 28mm x 12mm thick

Artificial Hemp

!

A buoyant imitation split grain of hemp that can be used directly on a hook or hair rig. contains a soft white rubber kernel that makes hooking easy and ensures the hook stays firmly in place.

Use a single grain on a small hook e.g. size 18, or multiple grains can be threaded onto a hair by passing a baiting needle through the soft kernel. The buoyancy of the grains will partly counterbalance the weight of the hook. As a guide: 10 grains will counterbalance a size 10 specimen type hook

Rubber Caster

!
Made from our buoyant rubber compound, they are soft enough to use directly on a hook, or a hair rig. They can be used singularly, in combination with other baits, or in multiples on a hair rig.

Their buoyancy helps to counterbalance the weight of the hook, and they are resistant to the attentions of smaller nuisance fish.

  • Assorted Shades of Caster Red

Hook Sinks

!
  • Soft imitation pupa/larve for use with hair rigged baits in clear water conditions.
  • Camouflages the hok and eliminates glint from the sun, which may spook wary fish
  • Pack includes two colour options for use over silt or gravel.
  • Bouyancy helps counter balance the weight of the hook

Rubber Grubs

!

Rubber Grubs are a soft, buoyant rubber imitation maggot, that can be used to produce a critically balanced or popped up bait. They are best used in conjunction with real maggots when a slow sinking or balanced hook bait is required. e.g when fishing over the bottom weed or when fish are taking on the drop. They are also useful when small fish are a nuisance, and are constantly tearing real maggots off the hook.   Alternatively they can also be used to pop up a bait, when matched with an appropriate hook size.

As a general guide: (based on a medium wire forged hook). 1 large Grub & 2 real maggots on a size 14 or 16, for a slow sinking hook bait. 2 large Grubs & 3 or 4 real maggots on a size 12 for a "popped up" effect.  Packet contains 15 large and 5 small Grubs. The two sizes allow for greater flexibility when balancing various makes of hook.

  • Choice of White or Bronze

Adjuster Link (Standard 20mm)

!

The Adjuster-Link is used for fixed paternoster legering with either a bomb or swimfeeder. It essentially replaces a three or four turn water knot, that is usually used to attach a link of line to the main line. Its main advantage over a water knot is that it can be repositioned to adjust the hook length, without tying or re-tying any knots. Another advantage is that it doesn’t weaken the line, something that a knot invariably does.

Ideal to use where larger fish are expected such as Carp or Barbel, where the advantage of being able to fish straight through to the hook becomes very apparent.

The angler can of course still use theAdjuster-Link with a lighter hook length tied to the main line, and still benefit from being able to adjust the distance between bomb/feeder and the hook quickly, and without breaking down his rig.
